Sidus History

Sidus Financial, LLC opened for business in early 2000.  We were formed by merging First Mortgage Corporation (North Carolina) with Sidus and raising capital through stock sales to several community banks and private investors. In 2004 Sidus merged with Yadkin Valley Bank & Trust and is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Yadkin Valley Bank.  Sidus Financial is a residential wholesale mortgage lender originating and purchasing mortgage loans saleable to Freddie Mac and/or Fannie Mae.  We also offer FHA, VA, USDA, NCHFA loans and Reverse mortgages.  We gather loans through several retail offices in North Carolina, along with our wholesale offices in Greenville, NC,  Richmond, VA,  Easley, SC and Bedford, NH.

Sidus works with customers within a twenty-one state area all of which are east of the Mississippi River.  Our offering is unique in that we offer a more hands on approach than the typical wholesaler.  Our Account Managers make frequent sales calls for the purpose of updating and educating loan officers.  We offer regular seminars on such topics as Loan Prospector, underwriting self-employed, appraisal underwriting and reverse mortgages.

We match each customer with a selected coordinator who works closely with them to facilitate the closing of each loan.  We prepare the closing documents and e-mail the package to you or your attorney, whichever you prefer.  We are responsible for all shipping and post closing.  You may elect to receive a monthly accounting of all loans closed with Sidus to include borrowers name, loan amount and fees.  Sidus provides an on-line registration system and quick pricing tool along with our on-line Quick Reference Guide which includes contact information, program descriptions and requirements, forms, policies, etc. Please visit our website at www.sidusfinancial.com for more information.
